This site started, with the alliance of 3 vidiac sites, the admin of Zone Anime thought there were too many sites using Vidiac to upload to, for streaming and that it was a waste as the same episodes were being uploaded again and again. So AniTube was created, AnimeHomeNetwork and Zone Anime merged their vidiac sites to make AniTube, well things were going well, until, Vidiac deleted all anime videos on their servers. Well the mass deletion was a complete disaster for this newly formed alliance, but also gave way for it's new start. AniTube started up as a streaming site using servers like Veoh.com to host its anime. The admin of Zone Anime invited the admin of AnimeRevolution to join, as they were hit the worst and he accepted.
For the next 2 months this site attempted to use Veoh as a hoster but the project essentially failed. Why ? Because Veoh deleted videos and the staff team of AniTube were adding videos that were deleted by veoh a couple of days afterwards >_>. Then as if to strike a final blow, the server that AniTube was on was DDOS [hacked] and it took 1 month to restore the site.
Major changes were made to the site, they no longer use Veoh.com and prefer hosters that aren't so well known to host there anime. The organisation of the site is a lot better and they offer a vast collection of anime [that's always improving] to people who want to stream their anime :) The latest member of this alliance is "Anime-Star" who are known for their fansubs.
