- In 1982 Pastor Olu Itiola was sent by Deeper Life Bible Church in Lagos, Nigeria as a church-planting missionary to the United States.
- He started the first United States branch of Deeper Life Bible Church in Montgomery, AL at the East Montgomery Holiday Inn in 1987. After establishing many other churches across the United States, in 1993, Pastor Olu was called of God to move the headquarters of the U.S.
