- Australia has had a long 'love affair' with flying and has produced many 'firsts' in world aviation. Our country with its vast distances proved ideal for the development of flying as an aid to settlement. Many of the aircraft operated and owned by our members are veterans in their own right and are related to these pioneer days.
- The Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia is the National organisation promoting the preservation, rebuilding and above all flying of old aeroplanes.
