- The APCF was founded in November 2005 by Jane Thomas following the tragic loss of her family. At that time, Jane opened the doors of her home to provide temporary housing and meals to homeless children and their mothers who had a desire to rebuild their lives. Recognizing the need to provide the tools and skills these women needed to obtain jobs, contribute to the growing economy, and provide for themselves and their children; Jane enlisted the assistance of the economic community. This foundation is supported by SeaNet Alliance.
