E- Truancy is a program used by the Pajaro Valley Unified school District to assist in addressing absences created by truant students. A student is truant whenever a student is absent from school without permission. The state of California determines that any absence that is not an illness or death in the immediate family is unexcused; hence, please keep this in mind when planning family holidays and other events that might have your student absent from school.
