- Mission: More Protection, Less Process
- The Department of Environmental Protection protects, conserves and manages Florida's natural resources and enforces the State's environmental laws. In addition to managing Florida's award-winning state park system, the Department also conserves environmentally-sensitive land, restores waterways and preserves important cultural and historical resources through the 10-year, $3 billion Florida Forever program established by Governor Jeb Bush and the Florida Legislature. Together with the South Florida Water Management District, the Department is implementing the 30-year, $10.5 billion state-federal partnership to restore America's Everglades - the largest environmental restoration project in the history of the world.
