- My name is Chris Lukenbaugh and I am the owner and operator of Aquila. I have always been a gun enthusiast and began coating guns and performing Gunsmith services part time in 1991. Over the years, I have worked with a Class 1 machinist and learned a great deal. I realized that I could utilize these skills to produce some of the most precision rifles and pistols available. I have been applying various types of coating systems since 1982 and in 1990 started doing small machining jobs for a friend of mine that owned a machine shop where they produced high speed turbine couplings. During that time period I decided to get an accounting degree and have worked as a Credit Manager for various companies including a Fortune 500 company.
