Native Long Islander Dr. Mark Arcuri continues to keep his feet on the ground although his work is much celebrated.
A sought-after coach and psychotherapist, Mark is acclaimed for intuitive guidance that leads his clients through life's most challenging transitions to a place of transformation. His distinctive style reflects his belief that everyone has the ability--indeed, the responsibility--to co-create their life, and his vision is shaped by the close relationships that he nurtures with his clients. He works with individuals in a variety of life situations, whether these are imposed upon them by external happenings or chosen as they explore options on their life path.
Mark's laid-back personality puts clients at ease and enables a fun hands-on creative process. His sessions are customized to each client and reflect a combination of intuitive, experiential, and innovative techniques.
After completing an undergraduate degree in psychology at SUNY Stony Brook in 1985 and a masters degree in Psychology from New York University in 1987, Mark graduated from Capella University in Minneapolis with a Ph.D in Clinical Psychology in 2002. He went on to complete a prestigious post-doctoral fellowship in Consult Liaison Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. It was there that he accepted that his purpose was for something much more unique and powerful than traditional psychotherapy or coaching. Transformational Coaching and Counseling was born!
While studying psychology, Mark was also fine-tuning his gift of insight. He trained with medical intuitive Christine Page, MD in a program called Navigating the Soul's Journey. He also sought other teachers in various walks of life, from whom he drew wisdom and practical applications to integrate into his work.
Mark stands out due his ability to blend clinical expertise with highly developed perceptual skills. He guides his clients through an empowering process of self-discovery that allows them mastery over their current life situation.
His broad exposure and popularity have led to speaking engagements all over the United States as well as to a busy private practice. Looking forward, Mark actively seeks opportunities to bring his work to a nationwide audience, and he is publishing a book offering insight into creating a life where vision and values are the basis for living into the greatest fulfillment imaginable. Personal Information
Mark is known for his high-energy coaching interactions and transforming counseling sessions, and for a practice guided by Spirit and intuition. He provides his individual services face-to-face, via telephone, the internet and in other technology-assisted ways, drawing energy from his favorite places, including South Florida's beaches and the Florida Keys, Puerto Rico, and from his home base in the foothills in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He also writes, teaches, and leads onsite workshops and seminars continent-wide.
Other interests include taking full advantage of downtime with travel, informally studying integrative medicine, outdoor activities on the beach and in the mountains, service work, momentous friendships, gardening, cooking, home design, and afternoon respite and peoplewatching at neighborhood cafes and restaurants.
