The arts are not just an “embellishment” to living. The arts are the essential tools anchoring us to the vitality of our human spirit! Since 1978, Los Angeles Dance Theatre, the nonprofit corporation of American Repertory Dance Company, has embraced excellence of artistry, honored the dance legacies by safeguarding artistic landmarks, and sought creative pathways into personal stories, societal issues, and physical expression of things that cannot find meaning through words.

In May 2004, ARDC presented its final performance. Although, the performance ensemble has disbanded, LADT/ARDC’s organizational resources and services continue to be available to the field.
