Excerpted from the website:
- Arklow.ie was first launched in March 1999 by Arklow Community Enterprise, Arklow Chamber of Commerce and the Arklow Urban District Council as a method of promoting business and tourism in Arklow.
- Since the launch, Arklow.ie has been enormously sucessful and the decision was undertaken to further develop the website - focusing on interacting with visitors through a searchable business index, a monthly newsletter, local news, notices, planning and so forth.
