At Armadillo Pets, we pride ourselves on our animal knowledge and specialise in dogs, small domestic pets, exotics, and small-holder species. Alice has a Masters degree in zoological-related studies. She has worked in the UK and USA with domestic, exotic and hoofstock species in both zoos and sanctuaries – from big silverback gorillas in Kent, to tiny Steppe lemmings in Reading. She has also had experience of the most common small pets, as well as some of the less common, from her own menagerie that currently includes an African pygmy hedgehog and a dwarf hybrid hamster who feature in our literature!
Armadillo Pets takes its responsibilities to animals and their welfare seriously, and Alice is a member of the RWAF (Rabbit Welfare Association and Fund), ABWAK (Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers), NFRS (National Fancy Rat Society) and the Southern Hamster Club. We are also active in the pygmy hedgehog, hamster and exotics online communities.
Armadillo Pets is a local company, Alice has lived in Farnham for over 23 years, starting in Wrecclesham and now Rowledge. She went to the primary school in Rowledge, South Farnham, Weydon, and Farnham 6th Form before heading to the midlands for her undergraduate degree in 2004, and returned in mid-2012 to do something she loves in the town that she grew up in.
