- Sony Online Entertainment (SOE) is now shipping its massively multiplayer online first-person shooter, Planetside, to North American retail outlets. The title, which contains an MSRP of $49.99, will come with a free 30-day online subscription, after which a monthly fee of $12.99 will be required to play. Alternately, gamers can sign up for SOE’s All Access subscription pass, which for $21.99 will give a player access to all of SOE’s online games, including EverQuest II, PlanetSide, EverQuest, EverQuest Online Adventures, Infantry, Cosmic Rift and Tanarus. Special content will be made available shortly after Planetside’s release. SOE will add three new vehicles—a bomber, airborne vehicle transport and a four-wheeled anti-aircraft buggy—to the game. Planetside is rated “T” (Teen).
