Art-Picker.com is a mobile service transaction platform where art meets the buyer (art-picker) in a surprising new way. Artists, Curators, Decorators, gallery owners, running permanent or temporary exhibitions in private or public places can join the platform and start selling through mobileBid: potential buyers see the artwork and can make bids, silently, by using their mobile phone. There is no price labelling, only artwork’s references and a telephone number. An exiting new way to generate spontaneous sales, taking in account new buyer’s behaviours. Art-Picker is not one more internet site offering artwork for sale or on-line auctions. Art-Picker is offering a transaction service for real exhibitions, where the buyer has the artwork in front of him and can make bids in order to carry it off. The Art-Picker multilingual voice portal takes care of all the dialogue steps: bidding, winning, paying, taking it away or arranging delivery.
Permanent exhibitions: the seller has fixed a hidden reserve price, so bids must be higher to win the auction. Art-Pickers can pay on the fly and securely by credit card and pick up the painting immediately, or during the next 24h on our secure website, having received instructions by SMS. Exhibition staff gets an authorisation ID as a proof of purchase.
Temporary exhibitions or events: at the end of the auction, the highest bid (above the reserve price) wins.
