A section of the arts journalists who attended a seven-day workshop in Kampala in September 2005 acquaint themselves with online skills. The workshop was facilitated by ArtMatters.Info and ArtMatters Critics’ Guild

This is done out of the recognition that art not only transcends social and cultural barriers but that it is a reflection of a people's way of life. Any one who understands this power of the arts can use it in bringing about socio-cultural and economic changes as South Africans did during the Apartheid era.
