Art Talk:Maryum Aliza
As the Greatest Master of Arts 'Leonardo da Vinci' once said; 'An artist has to do two things, one is to show the figure in the painting, and the other is to show its soul'. Painting is not just about the figures- it cannot be separated from the artist- it is where the artists soul mixes with the souls he paints- what one witnesses in the final piece is essentially the union of previously separate worlds- where the real and the ideals combine to form a whole- where the mortal paints what is immortal forever embedding his soul in it- so that he lives on forever through his paintings- Painting then is not just about the souls of the painted- it epitomizes the sharing of all souls- both the living and the dead.

Frank Sinatra; he paints pictures with his songs; I paint in the name who did it so very well for so very long....
Ayn Rand; who taught me to create myself from my own ideals, from the best within me, from passion not assimilation, from what separates me from the world not what compels me to conform...for Ayn Rand who sought the highest ideals in man
