Art's Work Unlimited, known as Arts Work in Miami, Florida
Art’s Work Unlimited is a full service custom metal shop owned by metal smith artists’ Art Ballard and Phil Heermance. They each have over 30 years experience, with both ancient and innovative techniques to create some of the finest and most unusual metalwork in the national arena of metal art. Many of their pieces are considered collectibles.
Phil and Art have won over 40 awards in national metal competitions as of 2009, including the coveted Mitch Heitler Award, three times for overall excellence. In addition, they have been written up in the Miami Herald’s “Home and Design” section for their displays of outstanding craftsmanship, quality and originality of their work throughout South Florida. Also, the television program New Florida and HGTV (Home and Garden Television Network) filmed documentaries at their Shop, showing the fabrication process and their artistic creations on gates and stair railings.
Art’s Work Unlimited, Inc. has built a national reputation with many Architects, Designers, and Builders. Art and Phil are personable, hands-on and deeply involved with all aspects of every project. Numerous hours are spent to design, fabricate, paint and install each project, combining skilled craftsmanship and high quality metal work. SERVICES AND FEES: Call to set up a free consultation at your place and browse through our portfolio, or come down to our shop and view a variety of ornamental metal works, paint stains, colors, textures and techniques. Once we discuss your ideas, you can choose a design that works best for your project. We will follow up your consultation with a proposal for all work involved.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES - METAL WORK SERVICES
We are a full service metal shop and we offer some structural metal work such as spiral stairs, steel columns, brackets, weld plates, etc. are only a part of what we can offer at competitive prices.
We also make special or "one of a kind" parts for other shops that don't have the facilities, tools or equipment we can offer. Some of these are forged wrought iron and aluminum pieces. If you are a metal shop and need help with a project, we will work with you and make the necessary parts you need.
We often make custom goosenecks, lock boxes as well as machine work on the lathe and vertical mill.
Our services include on site welding of aluminum, steel, stainless steel, copper and bronze. Machine work and turning on the lathe. Milling work on the vertical mill. Refinishing of metal work. Sandblasting of small parts.
We also work with companies to install automatic equipment, such as gate operators, telephone entry systems, cameras, etc.
