Excerpted from the website:
- Jerry Cohen has been buying and selling Arts & Crafts since 1978, when he opened The Mission Oak Shop in Oakland, California. He moved the shop to Connecticut in 1989 and in 1991 opened The Antiques Marketplace, which was the catalyst for the redevelopment of Putnam's downtown as an antiques shopping district. In 1985 he co-founded, with Michael Adams, Aurora Studios, a high-end artists studio devoted to the production of hand crafted hammered copper Arts & Crafts lighting. In 1995 he founded Craftsman Auctions, which merged with David Rago's Arts & Crafts Auctions in September, 2000 and he is currently a partner in Craftsman Auctions, specializing in furniture and lighting.
