About Us

I am 68 years old and I have worked with wood most of my life. My father was a building contractor, so I was introduced to working with wood at an early age. I started turning wood objects when I bought a good used lathe and I soon got hooked! Turning can reveal beautiful patterns that nature has kept hidden inside of wood that otherwise would wind up as kindling.

I never cut a growing tree to acquire wood to turn. A lot of wood I get from storm damage reveals surprising grain patterns or hidden beauty created by fungus, insects, or stress from severe growing conditions. The products are unique and one of a kind. Each piece has been treated and is perfectly safe.
