- Aspects has a long and illustrious history in the smartcard industry. Since the company was founded in 1986 it has gone through a number of changes. From a small company that produced testing tools for the mobile market, Aspects grew to become a player in the smartcard OS market. The company took on investment and had some very impressive clients. Eventually, it was recognised that the different divisions were too different to operate under one name. First, the OS division was sold. And in 2006 Aspects Tools was bought by Collis. Collis has been in the smartcard testing business since 1987 and is industry-leading in the e-ID and finance markets.
