- AUS* stands for Australian Universal Soldiers. Founded by Camouflage (23/3/00) in the days of Delta Force 2, *AUS* emerged as the first Australian DF2 squad.
The squad moved onto DF: Land Warrior, and DF: Task Force Dagger, gaining members ranging from battle harden veterans to new recruits.
With the release of DF: Black Hawk Down less than a month away and numerous other first person shooters, members took a hard look at the direction of the squad. Just how many more DF titles would be released? What would happen when they stopped? A change to a new title at that stage just didn't seem to be feasible.
