Planning tips:
If you are thinking of holding the ceremony and or reception in one of Brisbane’s Public Park, beached areas or nature reserve you will need to contact the Brisbane City Council or the relevant authority for permits and fees. In most Brisbane Council Parks that cater for weddings there is a designated area. Remember you will also be required to clean up after the ceremony as well, make sure a member or two of your wedding party is charged with this task in advance This might be the outdoor location of your dreams, but in reality how easy and practical will it be for guests to reach. You want the day to be memorable for all the right reasons, rather than for missing/lost guests and traffic jams. Investigate in advance what type of public transport and parking options are available for your guests. In addition, following on from the ceremony will your reception be held locally and again will it be easy for guests to make their way to Consider timing in particular during the summer months.
