Apart from anthropological, paediatric and endocrine aspects, auxologists have increasingly been interested in preventive health care. Thus, obesity has become one of the major area of interest. The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auxologie (German Society for Auxology) plans an interdisciplinary meeting on the various aspects of obesity. We want to stimulate current discussions, and initiate international co-operations.
