Avalon RV & Marine has grown to be one of the premier RV & Marine dealerships in the nation. Avalon came into being in 1969 in the town of Canal Fulton, Ohio about 20 minutes from Akron. Known then as Avalon Travel Trailer Center, they handled many lines of travel trailers, including Airstream. They quickly became one of the largest Airstream dealers in the nation based on Superior Service and Fair Pricing, standards that still exist today with Avalon. One thing led to another with the addition of motorhomes and soon Avalon had outgrown its original home.
In 1984 Avalon RV Center, as it was now known, moved to it's new state of the art facility on 27 acres, 10 of which are fenced, on Rt. 18 between I-77 & I-71 in the Medina, Ohio area. The new facility boasted an indoor showroom with sales offices, a parts department, corporate offices and a 14 Bay service department including a body shop. In 1987 Avalon added Bayliner Boats to it's product line, and overnight became Ohio's largest Bayliner dealer, another trait that still exists today. Soon after, a display lake and 12,000 sq. ft. boat showroom were added to better allow our customers access to our boat inventory.
Avalon RV & Marine is still family owned and operated today. It employs approximately 50 people including both factory and industry trained and certified service technicians, sales associates and managers. Avalon also has an approximate $8 million, continuously changing, inventory of new and used travel trailers, motorhomes and boats on display, the widest array in the area.
