Description
Ms. Frenette is a Registered Nurse and Certified Private Fiduciary who focuses her practice on the care needs of elderly, disabled and mentally ill persons. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Baylor University, a Masters of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a Masters level Certificate in Gerontology from Arizona State University. Ms. Frenette is also a Certified Care Manager (CMC) through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers. She has extensive experience with the elderly, disabled and mentally ill client populations both providing direct care and as Adjunct Faculty at the college level. Ms. Frenette is actively involved in the Western Region National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers as both a Board Member and an Officer since 2001. In addition, Ms. Frenette provides expert witness testimony in cases regarding care and issues related to quality of life in this client population. In 2006, she received the Rose Kleiner Award for excellence and achievement in the field of Professional Geriatric Care Management. As an advocate for the elderly, disabled and mentally ill, Ms. Frenette believes that every person deserves a chance to live his/her life at the highest functional level in the least restrictive environment possible. Mr. Thema has been with Arizona Care Management since 2001. He is a Masters prepared social worker with a liberal arts background. His career spans two decades and two countries, Great Britain and the United States. Born in England, he graduated with his Masters degree jointly from Nene College in Britain and the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Thema was further awarded his ASW, (approved social worker under the mental health act of Great Britain), the equivalent of the United States LCSW. Mr. Thema has extensive experience in crisis intervention, mental health issues, and family counseling. Upon moving to the United States in the late 1980’s, Mr. Thema worked as a hospital social worker covering the Emergency Room with additional responsibilities in oncology and home health. Mr. Thema is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
Mr. Parke has been with Arizona Care Management since 2002. He is an Arizona native and a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He has been working in behavioral health with an emphasis on crisis management and counseling since 1987. Since 1994 his experience includes Care Management under Arizona Long Term Care (ALTCS) and Director of Social Services/Admission Coordinator positions with several skilled nursing facilities across the valley. Mr. Parke is a member of the National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
