Description
The following programs are offered by the BAAC Aquatics Department. The 5 pools at our Aquatics Academy include two sparkling, 25-yard heated pools, an instructional pool, a wading pool and a whirlpool. At the Academy, we have everything from lap swimming, aqua aerobic classes, private lessons for the beginner to the master swimmer, swim teams and other programs.
The Bel Air Athletic Club is a year-round competitive swim club serving Harford County, Maryland and surrounding areas. A proud member of USA Swimming and Maryland Swimming, BAAC offers programs for swimmers of all abilities from novice to national caliber. At every level, BAAC focuses on the individual swimmer's physical and emotional development. BAAC hosts and competes in meets monthly throughout the fall, winter and spring. The team roughly trains from September through July competing in numerous meets mostly in Harford and Baltimore counties. The team currently has about 125 swimmers between the ages of 5 and 18.
We take swimmers at basic levels and train them to be true competitors. As a member of the BAAC Swim Team swimmers will learn how to compete legally in all four strokes. BAAC uses a multi-level program designed to maximize the long-term potential of each individual swimmer. Each swimmers is placed in a challenging environment based on their current physical and emotional needs.
