The other day my CyberHome DVD player decided to crap out and I was left scrambling to find cables to set up my laptop to play through the tv to entertain house guests. After a quick google search I found that it was common for the power supplies on these units to die. A new power supply costs about as much as the player so it was time to look to find a free alternative to use the player.

I tend not to jump on bandwagons and want to provide those who read this blog unique and interesting content they generally wouldn’t find elsewhere. This, however, is one bandwagon EVERY person in America needs to jump on. The topic is Net Neutrality and there is currently a bill in congress that will potentially allow Internet Service Providers to restrict what parts of the internet the user is allowed to see. It would be similar to basic vs. digital cable. Consumers will have to pay more to access the whole internet and the highest paying companies will get superior delivery of their web sites and promotional materials than the average site.
