Badgers Heritage -
edit Description
For the past 16 years I have been drawing local scenes and my wife has been selling them in the trading name of “Badger’s Heritage” ( Badgers are often called Brock, our family name, and it is the English Heritage that we aim to capture in our drawings - thus “Badger’s Heritage”). Whilst I (Robert) am the principle artist, my wife (Sally) has developed the business and does most of the hand tinting, mount decoration, picture mounting and framing. We are both totally self taught.
We started with drawings of our then local village (Buckland in Oxfordshire) to help fund the development of a village swimming pool and were surprised at how it grew from there.
We now have well over 1500 pen and ink drawings in the collection that we print from. We cover an approximate area - from Swindon south east to the New Forest, then north east to Guildford and the M25, and west to Reading, Abingdon and Swindon, with drawings of most villages between. We cover a total area of over 1500 square miles and some 650 villages, towns and cities. Churches are very popular and we will always add nearby churches to the collection by request.
