Traditionally, The East Cape is known to be from the east end of Palo Escopito road in San Jose, to La Rivera in the north, making it the East Cape of the Baja. That has all changed recently with the large developments on the southern portions of the coast road. These developments have brought San Jose closer to the southern parts of The East Cape.

The East Cape is more of a frame of mind than a fixed point on a map. Their major road is a bumpy dirt track that keeps traffic to a minimum. Speeds over 30 miles per hour are rare. And the residents there like it that way!
