Oh hello. You know, there has been much debate recently between myself and Mother Goldfarb about the fashions of today's bar/bat mitzvah attendee and the fashion choices of the past. Its my contention that both the dresses of today and that of yester-year have their own particular charm and class.
Mother Goldfarb thinks that the new dresses are too "grown up" for young women. I say to her that kids today are more mature than we were, with their iPODS and their 'online'. And sometimes you need to let your kids grow up and not make them still live at home when they just want to go out and meet someone their own age instead of taking care of their old mother who doesn't even make the macaroni and cheese THAT I LIKE!!! Gosh dangit, mom! LET ME LIVE MY LIFE!!!!
Everyone assumes that bar and bat mitzvahs are only for 13 year old boys and girls. Well... EVERYONE IS WRONG! Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are for the young at heart, just like a pair of luxurious velvet underwear are for the wealthy of soul. Oh boy, I enjoy wearing a nice, velvety boxer brief. I feel as wealthy as music legend Paul Anka!!
