At a recent City Council meeting, I was pleased to present a slideshow of recently-completed and upcoming projects that the Bastrop Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) had either obtained directly or assisted in obtaining. When viewed in a continuous stream, the results were pretty amazing. Several millions of dollars were added to our tax appraisal rolls this past year, and many more companies are looking at expanding here in Bastrop.
