Museum of Bath at Work

It started with a reconstruction of the shop, offices, workshops of a Victorian engineering business that later added an aerated water manufactory. Jonathan B. Bowler the founder, described himself as "General Engineer, brass founder, gas fitter, locksmith and bell hanger". Much of the original equipment survives, and some can be seen working.
Bath at Work: 2000 years of Earning a Living. The exhibition tells the commercial story of the city of Bath since Roman times.
Mining Bath Stone. A full size model of a stone mine, with original equipment, is complemented by the 160 million year geological history, and the story of Victorian mining, and recent restoration projects.
