About Us
My name is Renee Romero. I live in Southern Louisiana with my husband and three children on a 50 acre farm that was my husband's family home. Many years ago it was a dairy farm. Today, it is just for pets.
About four years ago, a friend and I walked into a local pet store and I fell in love with a special pearl cockatiel. She was so friendly and seemed to want to stay on my shoulder. I just knew that we had bonded the minute I picked her up, and told the clerk that she was the one I wanted. She was sold to me with some hesitation. You see, she was their demonstrator bird. She was trained to do that. It wasn't until we got into the car to go home that my friend told me the whole story. This cockatiel was the store's demonstrator bird. They usually wouldn't sell a demonstrator bird, but since I wanted her so much and I showed them that she would be well taken care of, they sold her to me.
A few months later, my youngest daughter saved enough money to buy a female cinnamon cockatiel. A short time after that I acquired two normal gray males. I still have all of them and they are producing fine babies. I also had the opportunity to buy a breeding pair of Blue and Gold Macaws.
