Description
International Education & Homestay Services of B.C. Ltd. is a registered company that has been operating successfully in the cities of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody and the villages of Anmore and Belcarra near the vibrant Pacific port of Vancouver, British Columbia, just a two hour drive to the world famous ski resort of Whistler Blackcomb Mountain. We place international students of all ages in carefully chosen homes throughout the Lower Mainland. As well, we offer registration in Elementary, Middle and Secondary schools, intensive ESL language classes, cultural activity programs and a wide range of courses including summer and winter school programs for short or long term students.
At IEHS we believe that homestay is an important part of an International student’s experience in a foreign country. We specialize in getting to know our host families well and in matching the student to the family, through careful screening of the Homestay family and completion of questionnaires by the student to determine their interests. Each family accepted into our Homestay program has undergone rigorous background checks and a home inspection. This helps to ensure a successful relationship between the family and the student.
The International student will benefit from fully developed programs delivered by B.C. government certified teachers in modern, well-equipped classrooms currently offered in most Lower Mainland school districts. The students enrolled in these programs gain experience in Canadian culture while attending school and their English language acquisition is accelerated through the immersion that Homestay provides.
