We at BCS have over 20 years experience in test, automation and data acquisition. We felt that there was a need for digital I/O that was buffered for real world applications. With most existing boards a separate interface board had to be designed to allow the digital I/O to work in an application. This could double the cost for the buffered I/O. We also felt it needed to be inexpensive, easy to use and reliable. We then decided to design the RP2005 line of USB data acquisiton products. The driver for the USB to DIO boards is an easy to use DLL.
We just finalized the RP0000xxxxTBCLDC series of 6-48VDC buffered IO. They are almost half the size of the AC/DC versions and each IO bit has a corresponding LED indicator. They are now availble on our products page. We are currently near completion of the RPRS232 which will convert USB to RS232 at up to 1Mbps. The RPRS232 uses a virtual comm port driver, allowing it to be used like any RS232 comm port.
