On August 1, 1972 L. Wendell "Shorty " Bearden purchased Andrews Oil Company in Eastman, Ga. Since that time the company has built and purchased a number of convenience stores, bought a number of area oil companies and added additional brands. Today the company has over $65,000,000 in gross sales.In 1983 Bearden Oil Company added races fuels. Like all of Bearden Oil Company the race fuel division has grown to be one of the biggest race fuel jobbers in the country.
