- I got the idea for this site when I was forever being told that some such figurine was sold or bought last week for so many pounds. This not withstanding a totally different amount being quoted in the various price guides. Good as they are, they don’t reflect the current prices being asked or offered. So, I thought, a website enabling everyone to input prices they had seen or experienced so that fellow collectors would know the price the market was paying. Of course, we all get bargains and sometimes we all pay over the odds for something we desperately need so my website must be capable of smoothing out the prices by averaging the data.
