Befriend is a small, privately-owned internet consulting firm. Take a look to the left. We do everything listed there, though there's a lot more to what we can do than that. Not only do we build websites, do custom programming and administer servers for clients - we do the same and more for our own internal projects.

We're good at what we do. We've been developing websites and applications using the PHP and MySQL for the last 3 years and HTML since the first web browser was released. We've been programming since BASIC was the rage (before computers had hard drives), we built our first BBS connected to the internet in 1991 (the web was still years away) and we know coding so well we can build an application on the back of a napkin. Take a look at the Brainbench Transcript for our company president, Steve Werby. He's master certified in all of the tests he's taken.

We're very involved in the open source development community. Steve Werby and the rest of our virtual team spend hundreds of hours per year helping others through discussion boards like those at PHPBuilder, mailing lists like those at MySQL, PHP and Cobalt and training and meeting with people to teach concepts and share our knowledge. We also volunteer our time leading projects like the Cobalt Documentation Project, OpenSourceDevelopment.com and developing, building and administering internal projects.
