The troupe has definitely connected with fans through its performances and commercially successful Bellydance Superstars series of CDs, which are the biggest selling Arabic CDs in the mainstream marketplace (sales have topped 200,000 copies in North America alone), and Bellydance Superstars DVDs – the top selling DVDs among the titles sold by Universal Music Distribution, the #1 distributor of music & video in America. The Yoga Isolation & Drills for Bellydance DVD by Superstar Rachel Brice has sold over 30,000 units to date.
Led by main choreographer Jillina, the Bellydance Superstars Babelesque cast members (Sonia, Adoré, Petite Jamilla, Rachel Brice, Mardi Love, Zoe Jakes, Kami Liddle, Colleen, Jayna, Hannah Nour, Sabah, Nathalie Tedrick, and master percussionist Issam Houshan) create a stimulating spectacle that transports audiences to a distant time and place.
The exotic sounds of haunting melodies echo through every venue during each show, and the dancers perform in front of an amazing backdrop with washes of lighting and flame-effects.
