At the age of 16, I started a mobile entertainment company in Cleveland, Ohio called "The Muzic & Company". Twenty seven years later, I am still going strong. The name has changed, but the philosophy has stayed the same. To provide a professional service by maintaining that "one on one" personal relationship with all of my clients. I feel that it is very important to get to know my clients before the event.
I have never seen guests leave a party early because the food was unsatisfactory. If the music does not appeal to your guests, they will leave the event. Anyone can purchase sound equipment and buy music. If they do not know "what to play" and "when to play it", the party can take a bad turn very quickly. Being able to read the crowd and knowing the music makes for a very successful event. The concept is to build energy and to rotate the dance floor with different styles of music. This allows for your guests of all ages to enjoy themselves.
The sound equipment used at events is an integral part of the party. All of the components used at my company are professional grade. We do not setup on folding tables or use home stereo systems like some other mobile disc jockey companies. This type of gear is NOT designed to take the rigors of the road thus deeming it very unreliable. Ben Ricci Ultimate Entertainment is one of the few mobile entertainment companies that uses computers to play the music instead of CD players. The entire music library is loaded on 2 identical custom built PC based Pentium computer servers. These are NOT laptop units. The result is "True Digital CD Quality Sound". Both PC's run independently of each other. One is the main system and the other is a complete backup. Should there ever be an issue with the main PC, the other computer automatically takes over. The key advantages of using computers are no skipping of CD's and the ability to quickly find and play requests at a touch of a button.
