John Bennett and Teresa Morgan formed the firm of Bennett & Morgan, LLP, in January of 2002. John and Teresa first became acquainted in May 2001 when both were attending a National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys educational conference in San Diego. Upon learning that their offices were located only an hour apart, they began team teaching estate planning educational workshops together in Valdosta and Lake City.
John and Teresa quickly learned that they shared the same philosophies about estate planning, primarily that traditional plans did a poor job of meeting clients’ objectives. They also shared the desire to provide clients with a more holistic approach to planning, one that not only focuses on their wealth, but also on their heritage, the uniqueness of their families, and their connection to and involvement in their communities.
One of the primary goals of John and Teresa’s practice together has been to develop an exceptional staff of para-professionals to assist them in serving the firm’s clients. Having a combined total of 47 years’ legal experience, they are convinced that quality service to clients can only be accomplished if all of the firm’s employees are highly educated, fully trained, and committed to working together as a team. John and Teresa’s commitment to the team approach is evidenced by their regular team meetings, their quarterly offsite team retreats, and the education and training the firm’s team members receive in various locations around the country.
