Description
Generally, as people come to visit Bertoia Studio, they are first attracted by (Harry Bertoia) my father's work of this simplified outline:
1970's Harry and Val made hundreds of sounding sculptures, including vertical rods on base plates, gongs, and suspended vertical bars. The vinyl LP-records of these sounds were made in the 70's.
1980's The CD's were made of the original recordings of 70's. Also, the various books (about Harry Bertoia's drawings) were made available. Val became manager of Bertoia Studio, and from the 70's continued building his wind-driven generators, as well as bronze sculptures.
