BhodiSoft started out as a joke when Blake Swopes was studying programming in college and added the tagline "Another fine BhodiSoft product!" to his coursework.
Since 2000, BhodiSoft has been online in one form or another. Initially a project for Blake Swopes to learn linux, the site was hosted off an IBM 486 in his bedroom; the site ran on port 8080 due to inbound restrictions by his ISP. Some of the earliest BhodiSoft comics still bear this legacy address.
The site has evolved over the years and is now largely converted to a WordPress blog, with links to some of the original documents.

The Comic
From September 2000 to August 2002, Blake Swopes maintained a webcomic featuring himself and several friends. The subject matter was generally focused on Quake, Linux and generally working in the IT industry.
The Journal
Also from the outset of the site, Blake Swopes hosted a weblog he called "The Journal". This initially served out of perl based code he had written himself, but has since migrated to LiveJournal and now WordPress.
Tech White Papers
A fair portion of the site is dedicated to hosting articles such as "Decoding IP Packets" and "TCP Wrappers Misconceptions", which was also published in 2600 Magazine. Also, BhodiSoft issued a handfull of security advisories both real and tongue-in-cheek (CUSERT).
Philosophy
Blake Swopes has a Philosophy degree from UC Santa Barbara and used the site to self-publish a few articles on Descartes written while he was studying for his degree.
Poetry
A member of the Conejo Valley Poetry Society, Blake Swopes self-published a number of poems online. The poetry pages were featured in the LA Times when they were still hosted on GeoCities.
Kiva Country Collector
A recent addition to BhodiSoft, is an app written to support users of the MicroLending site Kiva.org. The Kiva Country Collector searches for fundraising loans to new countries for Kiva lenders.
