For almost three years, BicycleSurplus.com was operated as a division of Cunnane Bicycle Co. In June 2001 BicycleSurplus.com was purchased by Cycle Source Group, LLC in Yaphank, NY. Cycle Source is a bicycle and accessory marketing company with strong relationships with companies based in Taiwan and China. This new ownership gives BicycleSurplus.com additional industry contacts, flexibility and resources. Our relationship with Cunnane Bicycle Co. remains strong.
Cycle Source has been asked from time to time by our customers to help them sell off their excess inventory. BicycleSurplus.com and this web site are a result of those experiences. Every manufacturer or distributor accumulates unwanted stock. A production run falls short of projections, a "hit" item turns out to be a dud or unanticipated order cancellations force every company into the quandary of what to do with the leftovers.
