The company was first founded as Eco Home Products informally in 1991 by Dan Saltsburg as a retail water treatment company in Los Angeles, CA. Today Eco Home Products operates as a subsidiary of Big Brand Water Filter, Inc. The organization has grown to become a factory authorized stocking warehouse distributor for dozens of major name brands of water treatment equipment. Big Brand has alliances with the world's largest manufacturers including Fortune 500 companies to supply their products direct to the end user. Products sold under the Big Brand name are manufactured to our own specifications often by these same Fortune 500 companies and other leaders in the environmental technology market sector. Dan Saltsburg , Founder and President, holds degrees in Environmental Studies and Geography from the University of California at Santa Barbara in addition to a credential s in Business Management from UCLA and a Business Administration Degree . Mr. Saltsburg is an active member in the Water Quality Association (WQA), the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and other influential industry organizations. Career water related experience includes reverse osmosis manufacturing, commercial and industrial plastic piping, valves, and fittings, and operating as an independent manufacturer's marketing consultant.
