During last 29 years, John has been fighting for the rights of hundreds of people who have been injured as a result of traffic accidents, medical negligence, and other wrongful acts. And although the areas of Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, and Medical Negligence are his primary fields of expertise, John also has years of experience in other legal fields as well. He and his law firm have handled cases in Family Law, Real Estate, Business, Probate and Trademark for many years.
John was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Lincoln HS, he attended the University of Puget Sound and the University of Oregon, graduating in 1969 with a BA in Psychology. He then attended the University of Oregon Law School, receiving his Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1973, becoming a member of the Oregon State Bar Association that same year. John has advocated for the rights of others as long as he can remember, dating back to his grade school days. He was one of the original founders of "The Peoples Law School" in Eugene, and started his legal career after law school by joining the USA volunteer organization, VISTA, as one of their attorneys. His reputation has grown with his practice over the years, and although he is listed in Strathmore's "Who's Who in America", Martindale-Hubbell, and was named "Personal Injury Attorney of the Year" in both 1999 and 2000 by The Consumer Business Review, John believes his greatest achievement is having raised two "kind, caring and fantastic" children.
