Tragically, Basil was killed in a car accident by a drunken driver on Christmas Day 2004. However, his daughter Catherine Peters along with partner, Chantal Elgie, bought the business in February 2005 and the two have continued to operate the store with the same excellent service & taste. They have expanded the Bron brand which is now sold in shops, pubs & clubs around KZN as well as expanding the franchise market with their various different types of franchise opportunities.
