The Open Guide to Birmingham is a wiki-based system running on the OpenGuides software. This is a community site, built on contributions from natives to Birmingham and The West Midlands in the UK. The site contains lots of places to visit, clubs and societies, pubs and restaurants together with several pages detailing the history of the area and some of it's famous people.
This isn't intended to replace other great sources of information like Beer in the Evening or Wikipedia, but rather extend those resources with a much more local flavour.
