Dennis Simons has an experience unique among conductors. He returned to North America from Europe as a distinguished conductor, solo violinist, teacher, adjudicator and chamber music specialist.
He was the founder of the Alberni String Quartet and has served as the Concertmaster of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestras. He holds the award of Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music in London, an honor held by only 250 living former students at any given time.
Dennis Simons has previously served as Music Director and Conductor of the Saskatoon Symphony and the Shreveport Symphony. He has also been a guest conductor in Europe, Australia, Canada and across the United States. Currently, he is a member of the faculty of the Division of Music at Minot State University.
