Blackstone Chambers was established in 1982 on Level 62 of the MLC Centre in Martin Place, Sydney, at the initiative of Don Grieve and John Garnsey, both of who remain as senior members of the floor. Their objective was to bring together a group of predominantly commercial barristers in a modern, attractive and efficient working environment. In the years since its foundation, the floor has achieved and consistently maintained a high reputation for first class service.
