Description

Well, I can't tell you the whole history because I wasn't around when this place first got started and nobody really remembers any way. My best guess is that blade2k takes its name from Blade Productions, which was small community run by Cyril5412000. I, losl, was just fledgling member at Gaming Ground Zero under the alias The Evil Cheese Cake Ninja, which I had taken with me from rpg2knet. Keep in mind this was back when GGZ wasn't so uptight about stuff. Anyway, Cyril advertised looking for writers and I took the job.

Blade2k started with a site for a game called X-Machina where Lyndon was a composer. Lyndon put down the money for a host and domain and blade2k started. I came along when I AIM'ed Cyril asked what he was up to. He showed me a site called blade2k (then at blade2k.com), which was pretty swank to me back then. I immediately joined the forums with large dreams of becoming staff. I quickly became known as the Lord of Spam Zero (which was my alias back then) and Ramza told me I would never become staff, so I did. Before him. Man was he pissed >:]. Anyway, everything went okay for about 3 months maybe (I have no clue) until Cyril started to change. Suddenly he left the staff and started going under the alias Kurt, and gave us 30 days to change the layout, which we didn't, and Lyndon took over as web-master. Kurt got in a car wreck, as told to us by his sister "Vicky," who later was proven lying when we found out Kurt was still alive and well. Long story short, Kurt harassed us for a while before having yet another change of adittude, at which point he started hanging out with VantageX4 (Co-Webmaster up through v2). Kurt programmed sites for VantageX4, which was a new skill he had picked up, (Seph has been the programmer since v1, allthough he was seph2 back then). Eventually one of Vantage's friends hooked us up with a layout for version 2, and Seph coded the site.

This part is where it gets a little hairy, and it might offend somepeople (probably people from rpg2knet), but about this time I started real news which was renamed to exodus. Anyway, being the cocky 14 year old I was, when we were still on rpg2knet's IRC server (then happyapathy), I made some pretty snotty remarks in #rpg2knet and got myself pwned ("hacked"). A long and drawn out war ensued, I think we can skip most of the details, both of us were pissed at eachother we flamed them they flamed us etc. That is until Stick was hired and brought us a sort of makeshift peace. By now tension among the staff had reached a boiling point. VantageX4 was fired, and shortly there after Morpheus left staff (he was a file uploader), and I and Kai, then Yamato Kai had a disagreement and Kai left staff.
